MentoringWhen a small business is growing, or wants to accelerate its growth, one answer may be a mentor. The Business Mentors New Zealand Mentor Service is provided free to small businesses that have been trading for six months or more and have less than 25 employees. The cost of running the scheme is met by sponsors. Mentors are committed individuals who derive satisfaction from putting their expertise back into the small business community. Their skills are diverse and draw on practical business experience and expertise from a wide range of fields. Mentoring can provide you with a sounding board for ideas, a solution to a specific issue, a fresh perspective or useful feedback. Mentors are matched to your business needs and work one-on-one. Whatever is said is treated in confidence The duration of mentoring will depend on your business requirements, however, most situations can be resolved by three to five sessions.
